Ludwig Van Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany. He was one of the best known pianists and composers. When he was young, Beethoven was taught by his own father to play the piano. Johann van Beethoven was a very strict teacher, and wanted to exploit Beethoven as a child prodigy since the young Beethoven was very talented. Around late 1770’s, Beethoven began to study with one of the prominent teachers in Bonn. His teacher was Christian Gottlob Neefe who taught him how to compose. Later, Neefe helped Beethoven to write his fist published composition. At the time Neefe still held a position as the Court’s Organist, and Ludwig soon began working for him as an assistant organist.
