Root Note, W, W, H, W, W, W, H
[W is Whole Step; H is Half Step] 
 
Hence, the notes for F Major Scale are: 
F, G, A, B^b, C, D, E, F

 

In the key of F, you’ll start with key F (Root Note) 

F to G is a Whole Step (W)
G to A is a Whole Step (W)
A to B^b is a Half Step (H)
B^b to C is a Whole Step (W)
C to D is a Whole Step (W)
D to E is a Whole Step (W)
E to F is a Half Step (H)
